Scope: This Policy explains how Kawiwi International Limited collects, uses, discloses and protects information when you use VIP by KAWIWI. It applies to customers, vendors, riders and visitors.

 

1. Data We Collect

 

Account & Identity: name, phone, email, profile photo; for vendors/riders: national ID, driver’s licence, company details, tax numbers.

Contact & Delivery: addresses, saved locations, recipient details.

Transaction: orders, payments, refunds, dispute records.

Location: precise location for deliveries/rides; riders’ location may be collected in the background during active orders for routing, safety and proof of service.

Device & Usage: device identifiers, app version, IP address, crash logs, diagnostics, cookies/SDK event data.

Media/Files (optional): images for listings, proof of delivery, KYC, chat attachments.

Communications: in‑app chat, support tickets, call metadata (not call content).

 

2. How We Use Data

 

Provide and improve the Platform, process orders, payments and deliveries.

 

Safety and fraud prevention (e.g., verify identity, detect suspicious activity).

 

Location‑based matching, routing and distance pricing.

 

Customer support and service notifications.

 

Marketing (where permitted), personalization and analytics.

 

Legal compliance and enforcement of Terms.

 

 

3. Legal Bases (where applicable)

 

Contract: to provide the services you request.

 

Legitimate Interests: safety, fraud prevention, platform improvement, analytics.

 

Consent: marketing communications, device permissions (location, camera, photos), and background location for riders.

 

Legal Obligation: tax, accounting and regulatory requirements.

 

 

4. Sharing of Data

 

We share data with:

 

Vendors/Riders/Service Providers to fulfil your order or ride.

 

Payment processors & banks to process payments and refunds.

 

Cloud hosting, analytics and communication providers (e.g., push notifications, SMS).

 

Law enforcement or regulators when required by law.

We do not sell personal data.

 

 

5. International Transfers

 

Your data may be processed outside your country. We implement safeguards such as contractual clauses and access controls.

 

6. Data Retention

 

We retain data for as long as necessary to provide services and for legitimate business or legal purposes (e.g., transaction records retained per statutory requirements). When no longer needed, we delete or anonymize data.

 

7. Security

 

We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards (encryption in transit, role‑based access, monitoring). No system is 100% secure.

 

8. Your Rights & Choices

 

Access, rectify or delete your data (subject to legal retention).

 

Opt out of marketing communications at any time.

 

Control device permissions (location, camera, photos) in your device settings.

 

Account Deletion: In‑app via Profile → Settings → Delete Account, or email [insert privacy email]; we may retain certain records for legal or fraud‑prevention purposes.

 

 

9. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

 

We use cookies/SDKs for authentication, security, analytics and performance. If we use technologies for cross‑app tracking or targeted ads, we will (i) request App Tracking Transparency consent on iOS and (ii) offer opt‑out choices as required by law/store policies.

 

10. Children

 

The Platform is not directed to children under 13. Users 13–17 should use the Platform only with parental/guardian consent where permitted by law. Riders must be 18+.

 

11. Third‑Party Links

 

Third‑party sites and services have their own policies; review them before use.

 

12. Changes

 

We may update this Policy and will post the new date above. Material changes will be communicated via the App or email.
